JUNE

Deacon LOVES to fill up ANY container he can find with water and put it in the freezer and turn it to ice (then kick it around outside until it breaks or melts). Anyway, one day he tells me he has this great idea to stick his tongue on a big pot of ice. I looked directly at him and told him not to do it because his tongue would get stuck and it would hurt and probably bleed.

Fast forward 2 minutes later.......

Some lessons we have to learn for ourselves!

Deacon LOVES swimming lessons......except for the whole 'lesson' part.
Mostly he loves to splash around with his friend Aiden.

Okay, this story is too cute. Nathan asked Deacon if he wanted to play catch in the living room (with this huge plastic Easter egg thing that we have). So they started and after 5 seconds Deacon says, "Wait, I need some water ready." So he goes and grabs two small water bottles and places them on the ground behind him. And after each throw back to Nathan, he turns around and wipes his brow and takes a swig. Then turns back around to catch the next throw.

I found this on the counter this afternoon....
Mouse in the house? You decide.....

This next picture shows that Deacon is JUST like his momma in some ways:

I always say if you have a left and a right, you have a pair! He can never find a pair of shoes...it's always one of each. This is how he has been going to preschool the last few days. Eventually we should clean his room....

Wearing Nathan's glasses. Probably not long before he needs his own!

In case you didn't know, Deacon is an inventor. All on his own he came up with this idea: get a wash rag wet a place it over the basket. Then, the food inside will stay cool:

I let him address Boston and Brooks' birthday gifts. Notice his name on there twice? :)

I love how he ran out of room for Brooks' second 'O' so he just wrote it inside the other one:

What's the matter? Haven't you ever seen a robot with a graham cracker box foot and a pickle jar foot, before?

Very excited to 'help' Addy blow out her candles.
