Mom's Drop-In Activities

On Thursdays, the city puts on mother/child activities at the community center. This month the theme is music, so we do something about that each week. This Thursday we did a parade. It was fun to dress up in a costume and bring pots and pans to bang while we walked around the park.
Deacon (like many other kids) was sad that they couldn't just play at the park Ü
We eventually did...

Deacon was straddling the couch and started yelling, "Look me, Mom! Look me!" So I had a look, and a laugh....and took a picture of him chillaxin' with his hands behind his head. He thought it was hilarious.

Helping Mom Inside, Helping Dad Outside

Deacon loves to 'help' me make zucchini bread, especially if it means helping lick the spatula! He pronounces it 'key-knee' bread

Nathan was spraying for weeds and Deacon was helping (although, between you and me, Deacon was actually watering them:)

The Beginning of The End

Deacon has been such a handful last month. It came out of nowhere. He is suddenly into EVERYTHING! Things he was never interested in before and knew he wasn't allowed to touch. And the fits! Oh, the fits he has been throwing.

Looking back, I was able to pin point this as the first of many mischievous things he did during January. Yeah, I took pictures of this, but by the end of the month I was too worn out and annoyed to take pictures of all the other messes.
Still, how can you resist a boy whose mascara is running?

Man, I had *just* opened new tubes of mascara and liquid eye liner too.....
