Deacon in December

Playing with the fake presents
His buddy. He loves her.
Standard lunch: PBJ and a cheese stick

He found this box in my closet, took a highlighter and started coloring it. Colored strips of paper and taped them on, then announced to me that it was a robot. And by golly, it looks like one! I especially like the yellow robot ears!

Hmmmmm......what should I draw?

Callie and Carrie got him an Iron Man play set.
He totally set this track up by himself and was playing, I was impressed!
Who does he look like in this pic? He looks like someone, but I can't put my finger on it...
Christmas morning in his Simba costume (won at a White Elephant the night before) and munching on chocolate.

His 'return ball', you tie one end to your wrist and throw the ball and it always comes back (sometimes hard, in the mouth)

Christmas afternoon at Grandma's. He loves his binoculars, camera (real 35mm), and flashlight. They almost lasted until January.....Ü

Using is 'nocs on our walk the next day.

Decorating the Christmas Tree

I like how the bulbs are perfectly positioned over his eyes.
We've since designated that shirt to the 'too small' box.
Pretty much all the bulbs were on that limb.
Pretty much all the bulbs were broken with 2 days.

More November pics (a little late)

Sacrificing his sister on the altar of....mom's bed?

It's just a toy knife, or 'sword' as he calls it.

Using a paintbrush and dustpan to clean up his 'coupons' that he cut up.

He had a toy bow and arrow that broke (what's with all the violent toys? knives, bow and arrow???). Anyway, he kept wrapping this sock around the end and saying something. I don't know what any of it meant, but he was entertained.

Grandpa Hunt gets more address labels than anyone I know. Deacon makes good use of these 'stickers'.

November 2009

He's a painter!
Doing ornaments for the Christmas tree (what? you couldn't tell that by the purple, green, and yellow paint colors? Ü)

A different day of painting. He gets very studious and into it.

He traced these shapes by himself. He'd point one out and ask, "What's that?" So I'd say a circle. Then he'd point to the next circle and ask what it was and I'd say 'a circle'. Then he pointed to the third circle and asked what it was and I said a circle. Then he looked at me and said, "No. It's a rubber ducky."
No idea where he got that from! In honesty, it wasn't a very spherical circle Ü

This boy loves his ice pops (yes, that's frozen water but he loves them).

Where's Deacon.....Where's Deacon?

Peek A Boo!

Where's Deacon.....Where's Deacon?
Peekaboo!

All over Addy

Swinging on the handle, waiting to go outside.

I really like this one (below).

Can you tell what he's sitting in?
Zooooom in.....it's mud!

He cannot get enough of her! Everytime she's not in the room (usually nap time), he asks, "Where's Addy?"

Showing her his toys....and yet he does NOT like her to hold them!

These next two pictures are how he ALWAYS greets Addy. It looks like he's squishing her, but his weight is on his knees and he just straddles her and holds her. She loves him right back!

He'll hate me for this one someday Ü
But he LOVES my makeup drawer. On Sunday I was getting ready and I had the blush brush and he grabbed the powder brush and said, "You have little brush momma and Deacon has big brush!"
