Activities

Once again, I do not claim these ideas as my own (except the coupon one).

We filled a jar with some lentils and paper clips. Then used magnets on the outside of the jar to move the paperclips through the lentils.

Little 'd' is for door
get it? it's a door.

Except he keeps calling it a "P" (which it does look like an upside down 'p'). I don't think he's dyslexic. I think he remembers that this is the exact same paper I used to make the 'P' for piano.

He sees me clipping coupons and wants to do the same. I bought a pair of kid scissors and let him go to town on the scraps. He gets really frustrated because he doesn't quite have the motor skills to do it with one hand. But it's good practice and I'll put him to work on my coupon empire in a couple of years :)

Shaving cream and some food coloring. He has asked for this activity almost EVERY day since. We looked like the incredible hulk for a few hours afterward because our hands were stained green.
