Sleep

I've been meaning to do a post on Deacon's eccentric sleep habits for awhile now. He's been outgrowing his habits so I better write it now before I forget.

This first picture was around the time he realized he could get out of bed and we wouldn't be there watching his every move. He would play and play until he got so tired he'd fall asleep standing up.
He used to bring piles of junk into bed with him. Books, toys, and even his dirty hamper full of clothes. He would dump it in bed and sleep with them. See pajamas and other clothes in picture above.

One day he was having a hard time calming down, so I put him in the recliner and sang to him to get him to go to sleep. The next day I went to check on him during his nap and he had gotten out of bed and went to sleep in the recliner.

Notice the golf ball in his hand?

We finally had to lock his toy basket in the closet at nap time because there just wasn't room in his bed for him!

This day was the scariest sleep day ever! He took a FOUR hour nap! We don't know why and he hasn't done it since.

I've found him a couple of times with his hands behind his back. Hope this isn't and indication of a future in handcuffs!

hahaha! LOVE it!! That boy is sure creative with his sleep. Well, just let him know that he's lucky he gets to do his tricks in such a cool bed. His cousins started doing 'tricks' in their cribs, and all it earned them was some crib tents. =)
